How I Found Love While Travelling
You walk into a room and in that swarm of people, your eyes suddenly lock to one pair. You’re new to the city, which is stunning, and you get the feeling of something really beautiful building up. He walks to you, talks a little and in what seem to be a few minutes, hours pass by. How I found love while travelling? Everything, everywhere on the planet has been a part of your conversation now. You’ve discovered a lot about each other, like the similarity in your sarcastic sense of humour, and his sense of goofiness running unparalleled to everyone’s, but yours. And suddenly, it just feels right, but can you call it love, already? Like finally, you’re part of the fairy – tale romance The one that’s an exception to exist according to the rules of life. The city turns magical and you spend the rest of the time there building this vacation love up to its most splendid form.
A week seems to hold memories worth a year. You do all the things that regular couples don’t, making it all the more special. You cage dive with sharks, jump off cliffs, and what not. Why? Because when you go back home, you need a story for your friends, a story of a memorable vacation with an absolute stranger, who felt strangely familiar, strangely – yours. Even if you don’t want to go back, you’ll have time stampede on your happy bubble, and that’s the hard truth. This whirlwind romance comes date stamped, and it’s too short a time. But at the same time, this love story teaches you a lot of lessons. I feel in love while searching for places to visit in Varkala, in a hotel lobby. But it was not all pretty roses, this journey came with lots of ups and downs.
1. It’s simply not the same as falling in love back home
It’s not some fairytale with all good, exotic locations and someone sweeping you off your feet, followed by a feeling of hopeless, passionate love. You barely know about the person and anyway, that’s more than enough to trigger the alarms. Though it is enchanting at first, the sceptical feeling creeps in slowly but surely. The worst part being it’s just about a week or two and then you need to return home and continue with your daily life. Yet, at the same time, being on a foreign land, out of your comfort zone creates an enchanting connect and feelings flourish along a whole new and intensive curve, altogether. And… it just feels right!
2. This may not really be love…
Sad, but true. It may just be an infatuation as you being out of your comfort zone may look for a warm comfortable solace. The new experiences can influence your feelings and then, zoning in on charming and romantic individuals is just too tempting to avoid.
3. You MUST look out for yourself!
Maybe this isn’t a completely evil world waiting to harm you but setting out on an adventure means that you must observe caution. Go where life takes you and have all the fun you want, don’t hold back, but at the same time, to keep your inner spirit alive, don’t go blind to the true intentions of some people.
4. Almost, always… it’s meant to end
That’s the sad reality of falling in love on a vacation. As much as technology may have evolved, long distance is a pain.
Though it did workout for us, it came with lots of ups and downs. But that’s the beauty of falling in love while travelling and staying with backpacking hotels, after all!
